I am a filmmaker born and raised in New York City. I received an MFA in filmmaking at Columbia University. Prior to film school, I worked in an ecology lab, on farms, a university in China, and for three years in economic research in Hong Kong and New York.

I'm dedicated to telling stories about climate change in narrative film, particularly how our economic needs conflict with environmental and ethical aspirations. I also love stories about family and food.

I was a resident at the Woodstock Filmmakers Residency. My short "It Might As Well Be Spring" received a grant from the Sloan Foundation for films involving science. I also received funding from the Taiwan Pitch program for a short documentary about a missing side of my family in Taiwan called "Honest Liu". I received funding through the Weatherhead East Asian Institute for my film "Hungry Ghost" which premiered at the San Diego Asian Film Festival.
